To make a traditional cup of Kashmiri tea, also known as "Noon Chai," you will need:
- 2 cups of water
- 2 cups of whole milk
- 1/2 cup of pink Himalayan salt tea leaves
- 2 tablespoons of green cardamom powder
- 2 tablespoons of ground almonds
- 2 tablespoons of sugar (or to taste)
Instructions:
- Bring the water to a boil in a pot.
- Add the tea leaves and reduce the heat to low.
- Stir in the milk, cardamom powder, and ground almonds.
- Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for 10-15 minutes.
- Sweeten to taste with sugar, and serve hot. 6.You may also garnish with some chopped almonds, or Pistachios.
Note: Pink Himalayan salt tea leaves are traditional but you can use green tea leaves as well
